Coconut Orange Jumple

Coconut Orange Jumble

3/4 cup shortening
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 egg yolk well beaten
1 cup shredded coconut
2 1/2 cup flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon soda
1/3 cup strained orange juice
1 teaspoon graded orange peel

Cream shortening and sugar together add egg yolk and coconut and beat well. Sift together flour, salt, soda and add to the creamed mixture alternating with orange juice. After each addition beat until smooth. Drop from teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with additional coconut and grated orange peel (we put orange zest in the batter to make them taste more like orange). Bake in oven 350 10 to 12 minutes. Make 50.
