Jam Sticks
This was a little tricky as some steps were missing but I think we figured it out.
1 1/2 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup butter
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tps soda
1 tsp cream of tartar
3 tablespoon jam
Cream sugar and butter. Min in egg and flavorings. in a separate bowl stir together dry ingredients and min into sugar-egg mixture. If dough is too soft to handle, it me be refrigerated wrapped in saran wrap for about an hour.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough tin 18 equal pieces, form each piece into a rectangle 6"x1" place onto a lightly greased baking sheet, leave 2" between each piece dough spreads out. Press a clean pencil (we used a straw) in the center of each to for a depression, spread small amount of jam into each depression. Bake about 8 minutes. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, move to wire rack or wax paper. When cool drizzle with frosting.
Frosting: Mix 2 cups sifted confectioners sugar and about 2 tablespoons milk.
once frosting is set cut diagonally into 1" slices while warm.
