Summer Picnic Loaf

Summer Picnic Loaf

3 to 3 ½ cups all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon sugar
1 package rapid rise yeast
2 Teaspoon Italian herb seasoning
2 Teaspoon salt
1 cup very warm water (125 degrees to 130)
1 Tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
3 ounces each: Sliced ham, sliced provolone cheese, and sliced salami
1 jar (2 ounces) sliced pimientos, well drained
1 ½ cup sliced ripe olives, drained
1 egg white, lightly beaten
Sesame seed optional

In large bowl, combine 2 ½ cups flour, sugar, undissolved yeast, Italian herb seasoning and salt. Stir very warm water and butter into dry ingredients stir in enough remaining flour to make soft dough. Knead dough, cover let rest for 10 minutes.
Roll out to 10x14 inches. Layer meat & cheese on dough (in the center of dough), cut side and fold sides in, the cover the filling.
Place on greased baking sheet; cover let rise in warm, draft free place for 30 to 45 minutes.


Brush with egg white; sprinkler with sesame seed, bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.

Yum. Made two kinds one with just meat & cheese and one with olives & pimentos included.
