Crunchy Fry Cookies

Crunchy Fry Cookies

1/2 cup sour cream
5 egg yolks
dash salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon rum vanilla (we mixed rum and vanilla extracts together)
1 to 2 cups flour

Combine all the ingredients, make the dough into a roll (roll as thin as possible), then cut into strip 1 inch wide and 4 inches long slit in center, pull one end through center cut.  Fry in half oil, half crisco. Drain.
Sprinkle power sugar when cool.
