1 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon slat
2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
any bag "Hershey's Bake Shoppe" baking pieces (we used "Heath-Bar" toffee pieces)
Heat oven to 375.
In large bowl beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, vanilla and salt with electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs beat well. Stir together flour and baking soda, gradually add to butter mixture, beating until well mixed. Stir in Bake shoppe pieces. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool slightly remove from cookie sheet to wire rack makes about 5 dozen.
Chocolate Version: omit 1/2 cup flour and add 1/2 Hershey's Cocoa.
